    Description

    Position summary:

    This position is responsible to enhance the overall operational efficiency of banking operations and to ensure everyday business operations run uninterrupted and are in line with the banks business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Develop operations strategy to help define and accomplish short-term and long-term objectives
    2. Devise plans to optimize, digitalize, and centralize processes and systems concerning operational banking transactions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
    3. Ensure the implementation of controls, well-communicated in operations manuals, KYC guidelines, FE manuals, and SBP regulations in consultation with Internal Control Unit, Compliance and Risk Management.
    4. Provide solutions for issues highlighted in management meetings and reports from auditors, ensuring the department receives satisfactory internal and external audit ratings.
    5. Identify gaps and risks within operational units and proactively work to mitigate them, minimizing losses and achieving satisfactory audit ratings.
    6. Conduct periodic visits to different divisions to review operational procedures, compliance, and service standards.
    7. Keep track of costs and areas of unsatisfactory performance to ensure improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
    8. Monitor and strengthen CPUs, branch operations, CFC & ADC operations, Treasury operations, and ensure a culture of compliance by devising and implementing internal controls.
    9. Supervise daily operations to ensure timely achievement of annual operational targets.
    10. Devise training plans and oversee their development to train employees with regards to process flows and centralized operations.
    11. Oversee branchless banking processes, account opening procedures, and complaint resolution, ensuring all issues are addressed within defined turnaround times.
    12. Ensure the professional development of team members through on-the-job training and guidance.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors, preferably Masters or equivalent from HEC recognized University or accredited Foreign University in the discipline of HR, Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration and related fields.
    • Special Certification(s) in related field is preferred
    • 12 -14 years of relevant experience with Islamic Banking exposure
