I write in support of my application for the A level Economics Teacher position at [School/College] Please find attached my application for the advertised permanent position. I am currently employed as a visiting A level economics teacher at FWS, DES, SNS and have had around 20 years’ experience. Throughout my time at various Schools/colleges, I have demonstrated the capacity to build strong relationships with students, parents and caregivers, colleagues and those in the wider community. 

I have approval to teach Economics that I am accredited at proficient teacher level status, and have met the relevant standards of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers which has helped me to demonstrate excellence in the delivery of high-impact teaching and learning programs, informed by thorough data analysis, that have significantly enhanced student outcomes. I utilise my highly developed communication and interpersonal skills in order to build strong, positive relationships with students, colleagues, families and the wider community to produce the best possible outcomes for all students.  I create a welcoming and caring classroom environment that supports students to produce good grades. 

I have a strong understanding of my subject Economics; I am committed to enhancing the learning outcomes for all students. Through the use of technology and open-ended tasks, I provide each of my students with this opportunity every day, building self-directed, engaged.
