Mariam Malik

I am an MPhil graduate from the University of Cambridge UK in the field of Sustainable Development, with more than a decade of work experience in Pakistan, having worked for the UN FAO, the World Bank, UKAID, and other organisations. I have also published a research paper with ICE UK, titled Disaster Management in Pakistan. Currently I am exploring exciting opportunities in the areas related to Sustainable Development and Oxfam at Jordan appears to be an amazing place to work. 

I have worked for the World Bank as a consultant, creating their strategy for development, through extensive collaboration with the education and health departments of the government of Punjab. I’ve also done consultancy work with the UN FAO where I conducted analyses of quantitative and qualitative secondary data for the NENA region countries’ economy, highlighting the significance of resilience methodologies. Correspondingly, under the UKAID-funded School Construction and Rehabilitation Programme in Punjab and KPK, I spearheaded the Project Procurement and Value Engineering teams as the lead for finalization of contracts, cost control, tender evaluations, data analytics, QA/QC, sourcing and engaging suppliers ensuring cost-optimization using Value for Money solutions.
