As an accomplished researcher, development practitioner and urban planner with sufficient understanding and experience in working with diverse communities, the ventures and exercises that are being coordinated to improve, shape and enhance the way communities function and able to change and improve the places that we live in are somewhat my keen interest. Everything I have engaged in so far has all been driven by my keen interest in research and development sector.

I am knowledgeable in: conducting in-depth research, completing numerous field work, analyze findings, evaluating issues and gathering and maintaining data into databases. I am looking for a position in a challenging environment that strives for organizational and personal development.

I have almost two-year experience working with Karachi Urban Lab, Institute of Business Administration (IBA) as a Research Assistant (RA). My previous two-year Research Assistant experience working with Karachi Urban Lab, Institute of Business Administration (IBA) enabled me to develop my methodology, data management, data analysis, and research techniques. 

Through my prior research projects with Karachi Urban Lab, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), such as Understanding Urban Resilience – Migration, Displacement and Violence in Karachi, and Gender, Public Transport and Mobility challenges in Karachi, I’ve learnt how to manage my work in a collaborative environment. Furthermore, I understand the intricacies of research work. As an added plus, the research involved in the Gender and Mobility Project had been very enlightening, I gained insight into Karachi’s infrastructural requirements with a gender and class sensitive approach in relation to public safety and security. My acquired skills will come in handy when working on this research project. 

I have worked as a Union Council Communication officer, Project of UNICEF, Karachi. With this role, I have acquired capacity to develop challenge mapping based on ground realities and initiate broad range of strategies to enable environment for immunization drives, I have acquired exhibited abilities in conducting advocacy and awareness session in schools/communities and with various partners to illuminate about significance regarding immunization drives, construct coordinated effort with Union Councils for assorted arrangement of immunization drives. Effectively lead a group of three social mobilizers and forty-four front-line health-workers. Finally, develop post and pre-campaign reports about number of exercises directed with their results. 

I am a graduate in Development Studies (BS), headed by Department of Architecture and Management Sciences from NED University of Engineering and Technology. 

Currently, I am pursuing a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) from NED University of Engineering and Technology (Final Semester).
