Waqas Ahmed

I graduated in Medicine in 2018 from University of Health Sciences, Lahore. I work as a Clinical Associate at Orthopedic Medical Complex and Hospital, Lahore in the department of Orthopedics and Traumatology since January 2020 to date. I have worked as a Medical Officer at Rural Health Center, Awan Dhai Wala, Lahore for 4 years. I have worked as a Locum Emergency Medical Officer at Indus Hospital, Lahore, which is a tertiary care hospital. In terms of social/extracurricular work, I was the Regional Chairperson of Asian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA) Pakistan Chapter. I also organized Hepatitis awareness campaign in our region in 2018. I was Media PR and Social Media Secretary at VFAHT (Volunteer Force against Hepatitis transmission). I did internship from Lahore General Hospital, Lahore, which is a level 4 teaching hospital where I gained good experience in managing trauma and accidental emergencies. I have also worked in Intensive care units of Orthopedics, General Medicine, Pediatric Medicine and General Surgery. I have cleared the OET (Occupational English Test) and am ECFMG certified. I did Basic Life Support training (BLS) during my final year in Medicine. I have booked for ACLS in June 2023. I am a determined and hardworking individual aiming to learn and utilize the skills needed in terms of professional development, innovation and exposure to contribute towards the success of the organization and personal growth.
