I am writing this letter for a possible position of Vet doctor specializing in small animal treatment. As an experienced veterinarian, I am looking for a challenging position to enhance my skills and experience. I possess a set of talents and skills that I believe will be valuable to your clinic. I have completed my DVM degree from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore, 2019 with a CGPA of 3.16. I have worked as a small animal veterinarian at Pets and Vets clinic, Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, I am serving as a Senior Veterinary Doctor at Pet’s Hospital Islamabad and Volunteer at CDRS Benji TNVR Facility, Gulberg Greens, Islamabad, Pakistan. My work responsibilities include obtaining a medical history from owners regarding their pets, routine health check-ups of patients being presented in the outdoor patient department, prescribing oral medications, and advising owners regarding the management of pets at home. I was responsible for providing intensive care to severely ill animals who are admitted to the clinic and providing daily treatments to them. Use of diagnostic tools i.e., X-ray, Ultrasound, and hematology analysers, interpretation of routine blood tests to pet owners, assisted the head doctor in the surgery and providing anaesthetics, providing post-operative medications, and providing euthanasia if needed. Currently, I am working at Todd’s welfare society, Kasur, Pakistan which is an animal shelter for strays and rescued animals. Here my duties include prompt diagnosis of underlying disease conditions and providing therapy to the affected animal. As animals tend to stay for a longer period awaiting to be adopted or release back so they require constant health monitoring and check-up and it is my job to do that and to prevent these animals from getting a contagious disease. I am also performing surgical procedures which include spaying, neutering, wound procedures, amputation of affected limbs, and C-section. By working with a kind and compassionate team we can change the aggressive and territorial nature of animals into tame and docile ones so that they could be easily adopted into their new homes. In my veterinarian role, I honed my abilities in diagnosis and treatment, providing a solid foundation for the Veterinarian position. My communication, people-centric nature, and eagerness to work hard have afforded me excellent critical thinking skills. As an extroverted and personable communicator with a proven track record of working with small animals, I am offering my services for this position.
