I Have been Serving the mantra of Right Product at Right place, at Right time, in Right Quantity and within planned budgets through Supply Chain and Retail Product Management for last 16 years.
I am a passionate Supply Chain and Product Management professional having super expertise and deep insights in building and executing merchandise and its plans from concept generation to POS, over the span of 16 years. I have built master proficiency in building organization level strategy for Merchandise and its supply chain and ultimately aligning strategic goals from top Strategic level to bottom most tactical level. Have got hands on experience and proven record of boosting sales, optimizing Inventory and gross margins through high impact actions over areas of progressive experience (Strategic Business Planning, Demand forecasting and planning, Merchandise Financial Planning, Inventory Management (Retail Stores + Warehouses), Allocations and Replenishments, Channel Management, ERP implementations, Global & Local Sourcing and high impacted Leadership Skills). I am detail oriented and experienced in articulating organization level business strategy, evaluating and re-engineering business processes, building and executing business collaborations, implementing change management and enterprise-wide ERP programs. Have built considerable acumen and hands on experience of working with Global brands like Gree, Caterpillar and Hush Puppies. Have been leading teams and representing the brands at global platforms.
Currently I’m working as department Head of Merchandising and Supply Chain for Hush Puppies and Caterpillar (Footwear and Apparel) in Pakistan. My role in Organization revolves around Strategizing the functions of Merchandising and Supply Chain to achieve objectives around ensuring the product alignment with Brand DNA, achieving Sales. Stock, Gross Margins targets in adherence to total supply chain cost and sustaining price competitiveness in market. I am currently leading team of 44 resources with 7 direct reports.
My Strong Leadership Skill and carrying strategic management mindset helped me to jump on to Managerial Position after 4 years of career. Took up leading role and started heading departments at experience of 9 years. Being good in Business processes understanding, I executed the successful supply chain restructuring in current organization, this helped us reducing the inventory and improving the liquidation by 25% against average of previous three years with improvement of Warehouse throughput by 18%, Initiated the Omni channel project and played integral role in implementation of Omni Channel and ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365) which brought down the inventory levels by 10%. While working with Service Sales Corporation (largest footwear retail network of Pakistan), Analytical and market-product detail orientation skills helped me to analyze Consumer behaviors and Market trends to forecast demand and make sales plan according to their personal, social and geographical needs. Sales planning based on these insights made me to achieve designated category’s CAGR of 37% against 21% for last three years and 29% at organizational level. This also helped me to increase category share by 3% in organization’s portfolio.
Ability to build relationship and being well versed in communication not only helped in improving delivery percentage from my vendors but also it helped to increase our capacity share at vendors' end.
Ability to take analyze quickly and make decisions helped me to establish retail network of Gree Air conditioners in designated city before assigned time and opened multiple selling channels, in a span of 1.5 years these channels started contributing to 15% of total annual sales.
Technology orientation and deep insight of business processes made company to give me responsibility of Super User and Assistant Test Lead for ERP (Oracle Retail) project implementation in Service Sales Corporation.
I have master degree in Business Administration with Majors in Supply Chain Management. I studied courses of “Supply Chain Management”, “Vendor Development”, “Logistics Management” and ERP.
I attended certification programme of SCM at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
I attended Certification Programme about Mastering “S&OP" by certified “SCOR” instructor Dr. John Paul.
