Shahla Iqbal

My name is Shahla Iqbal. I recently gave my last semester exams for a master's in English Linguistics from the University of Karachi and I'm waiting for the results. I completed my Bachelor in English Literature B. A (Hons.) with Mass Communication and International Relations as minor subjects in 2021.

I completed many term projects, assignments, tasks, and interviews as a student. I had written many articles related to our area of study. I had also written letters to the editor in different newspapers. Furthermore, I had the experience of hosting a Radio show and taking interviews with various personalities and their professions. I performed as an artist in Literaria'18 (our department's event).

I completed my master's research on 'Perception of Teachers on Lesson Planning' hence I am aware of the intricacies of planning a lesson prior to class for an effective session. I am good at interacting with the students in the classroom due to my expertise in communication skills. I believe in student-centered classrooms and learning to make them aware of basic communication skills before experiencing the practical life that waits for them.

I am fluent in English and have command of my subject as I am a subject specialist. I planned several lessons for a different levels of learners including Islamic banking and finance. I'm a self-motivating and friendly person who enjoys every moment of life and want to cherish it in the best way possible. Having me in your surrounding would be a perfect blend to enjoy life to its fullest.

Previously, I worked as an English Teacher at Prosperous Grammar Secondary School. I gave my teaching services to their school; students and faculty members were satisfied with my approach. Moreover, I worked as a News Writer intern in Geo News and The News International for 3 months during which I gathered much information related to research and content creation. I believe for an article to be written, it should be well-researched and plagiarism free.

Time management and research are my key factors. I have incredible leadership qualities to move forward with the team and I believe to work with them. I have cross-cultural communication skills as well. I'm looking forward to working with an organization where I can implement my acquired knowledge and work smart in a workaholic yet friendly environment.
