Worked as the main design engineer with EP-CMX-EI team at CMS-CERN (Geneva - Switzerland) for the Hadronic Calorimeter and associated tooling.

  1. Worked as Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Center for European Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland for the design of 250 Ton heavy Austenitic Stainless Steel Structure. CAD Software CATIA V5 and Spaceclaim and F.E software Ansys was used to conclude the design. The design took almost 21 months to complete. The Structure is now in production stage. 
  2. Worked on the heavy tooling required for the production, assembly and testing of the above mentioned heavy object.
  3. Expert level user of Ansys Software (Workbench & APDL). Completed more than 200 projects in the past 16 years, in Pakistan's largest Industrial complex known as HMC. All projects incorporated design from scratch and their production too. The design work of all these projects were heavily dependent on design by F.E analysis for which different software were used which included but are not limited to Ansys, LS Dyna, SimWise 4D, Simufact Welding etc. and application of different codes and standards e.g. AWS, AISI, ASTM, ASME,  design works etc. 
  4. F.E analysis included Static Analysis, Implicit Dynamic Analysis e.g. Modal Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Response Spectrum Analysis, Transient Dynamic Analysis, Random Vibration Analysis etc. and Explicit Time Integration Schemes e.g. Impact Analysis, Blast/Shock Wave Analysis, Drop Analysis etc. both thermal and structural and couple field analysis.
  5. All the projects that were executed belonged to different areas of operation e.g. Fire Resistant, Blast Resistant, Simple Static, purely mechanical equipment involving complex machines and mechanisms for which rigid body dynamics were used to check the satisfactory performance of the different components as machine. 
  6. Oversee a design group consisting of members from CAD Section, junior engineers and technicians from other engineering departments e.g. Sales & Marketing, Project Planning & Control, Instrumentation& Control, Procurement and Production providing design direction on products, parts and components.
  7. Preparation of Bill of Quantities, Technical & Material Specifications and Manufacturing drawings
