Hookah Side Effects

Hookah Side Effects
Hookah side effects are mostly the same as other forms of tobacco use, but they can be more severe with hookahs. Hookahs have been around for thousands of years, but they have only been used in the past couple hundred years.

Hookah Side Effects

The negative side effects of hookah include:

Tobacco Withdrawal: When you stop smoking hookah, you will experience symptoms similar to those of a smoker who's quit smoking cigarettes. You might feel nervous or depressed for a few days after your last smoke. It's possible to avoid withdrawal symptoms by slowly weaning yourself off the hookah over time and avoiding any triggers for cravings.

Inhaled Nicotine: The smoke from hookah contains nicotine and other harmful chemicals that can be dangerous if inhaled over a long period of time. If you don't want to quit smoking, it's important to avoid hookah because it could lead to more serious health problems down the road.

Cancer Risk: Tobacco smoke contains carcinogens that can cause serious health problems like lung cancer and heart disease. The jury is still out on whether or not hookahs contain these same chemicals, but many studies conclude that they do.
