Dear Members of the Selection Committee, 

I have earned my Ph.D. in Enterprise Management (Major in Finance) from an internationally recognized university, i.e., the School of Management (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, and CEEMAN IQA Accredited), Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. I have certifications related to FinTech Foundations and knowledge from the University of Pennsylvania, including Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: An Introduction to Digital Currencies, along with Lending, Crowdfunding, and Modern Investing. Moreover, my Ph.D. research is also based on crowdfunding, a vital component of FinTech. Currently, I am serving as an Assistant Professor (Finance & Investment Department) at NUST Business School, NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan.

I was awarded a Chinese Government Scholarship to join the School of Management, Zhejiang University as a Ph.D. scholar. During my stay at Zhejiang University, I have contributed as a Research Assistant Fellow with the Academy of Internet Finance (AIF) and an active member of different multidisciplinary research teams. My doctoral dissertation was conducted in consultation with Prof. BEN Shenglin, which examines the effects of signals in donation crowdfunding campaigns’ success: evidence from religious (Muslim) crowdfunding platform. I have systematically collected the quantitative nature of data and analyzed the results through statistical techniques. The findings served as a basis for the digital platform's policymakers, and the manuscript was accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed SSCI journal. I am equipped with the skills necessary to develop a framework for empirical research work and advise research scholars in the domain of Business Administration.
 

I have more than six years of teaching experience in internationally recognized institutions. I currently serve at the National University of Science & Technology (QS world university rank # 334) and COMSATS University Islamabad (QS World University rank #801-1000), Pakistan. I have taught numerous subjects, including Fundamentals of Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Business Finance, Credit Management, and Alternative Investments Valuations. I take a friendly approach to teaching, believing that my students are equal and have yet to gain the knowledge I can impart. This approach helps break traditional “them” and “us” type barriers between students and their instructors. I have also supervised many undergraduate students with their internship and project reports and reviewed graduate students with their master thesis proposals. Other than academic responsibilities, I perform numerous administrative duties during semester activities. Some include a member of the Ph.D. curriculum review committee, an accreditation committee, In charge of the sports committee, an exam monitoring committee member, and a member proctorial board. We are currently working on developing a collaborative research partnership with Zhejiang International Business School (ZIBS) and the Academy of Internet Finance, Zhejiang University. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan also accepts me as an approved supervisor.
Before joining academia, I worked with Nestle Pakistan Limited as an Area Manager. My primary responsibility was to manage area out-of-home business for four major channels: B&I, HELT, HoReCa, and Key Accounts. At the end of the period, one prime responsibility was to calculate and match the ROI of distribution in order to evaluate the investment and judge how well the business has performed. I have also worked with Oxford Policy Management (OPM) as a Trainee Consultant on the Provincial Reforms Program and Capacity Building of the FATA Secretariat. Last, I also served as Banking Assistant with JS Bank Limited. My experience with the corporate world helped me understand business dynamics and efficiently link them with academic knowledge.
