I am a Mechanical Engineer Working in power Sector from last 14- years. Currently I am working as Operations Manager at 1180MW Bhikki power plant (CCPP) since 2017. Prior to that I was working as a shift Manager in Fatima Energy Limited from 2015 to 2017 and before that I was working as Shift Engineer at 225MW Bhikki power project at Bhikki site near Sheikhupura from 2010 to 2015, I have total experience of 14 years. While working in power sector I got following experience

• Completed two projects from erection phase to commissioning phase and then operational phase.
• Lead the operations team to run the plant reliably and efficiently.
• To ensure the Power purchase initial agreement compliance and coordinate directly with Government bodies regarding operations matters. 
• Responsible for implementing Safe Working Procedures & Emergency Response Procedures to ensure the safety of both equipment & plant personals.
• Preliminary investigation & trouble shooting of various operational issues.
• Prepare the operational budget of plant form operations side
• Preparation of daily operation report comprising of plant overall efficiency, fuel consumption, generation and other record.
• Training: 

15 days Combine Cycle power plant simulator training at Harbin   China.

One month Operation training on power plant simulator (SMEDRI) China.

 One week training on Emersion Ovation DCS system in China. 

GE Online Technical (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, HRSG, BOP) & EHS Trainings.

Enhance leadership course for 3 days from Pakistan Institute of Management Sciences.

Operation Manager (Operations)

January 2018 to Till Date.

Harbin Electric International Company Ltd —1180MW (Combine cycle) Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power plant Bhikki

Working as an Operation Manager at 1180MW combine cycle power plant consist of two 9HA(GE) Gas turbines along with Alstom STG.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance & implementation of HSE SOPs with due spirit.
• Plan, organize and control the activities in respect of Power plant Operations to meet performance targets, ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant and related equipment’s.
• Ensure the Compliance of PPA, GSA and O&M contracts and coordination with government bodies through subcommittee meetings. 
• Ensure that all operational tasks and procedures are updated as per OEM recommendations, site conditions and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that team is adequately trained on SOPs, safety procedures, equipped, and motivated so that Plant operation can be accomplished in safe, timely & cost-effective manner.
• Review operation of the system in routine, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate to solve problems in timely manners, and to identify opportunities for improvement. 
• Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. 
• Exert functional supervision over all the personnel assigned in Operation Section. 
• Promote constant motivation among staff, to strive for an efficient and effective administration. Enhance subordinates’ wellbeing and capability through training and opportunities for development.

Shift Manager (Operations)

December 2015 to January 2018.

Fatima Energy Limited—120MW Cogeneration Power project, Punjab

Worked as Shift Manager on 120MW Cogeneration Power Plant consist of two STGs Siemens (SST-600) 60MW Each.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operations team under supervision of Ops manager to run the plant reliably and efficiently.
• To ensure the Power purchase initial agreement compliance and coordinate directly with Government bodies regarding operations matters. 
• Responsible for implementing Safe Working Procedures & Emergency Response Procedures to ensure the safety of both equipment & plant personals.
• Preliminary investigation & trouble shooting of various operational issues.
• Prepare the operational budget of plant form operations side.
• Preparation of daily operation report comprising of plant overall efficiency, fuel consumption, generation and other record.

Hands-On Experience in FEL

• Direct involvement to complete the whole project form erection phase to commissioning & then operations
• Conduct all the PPA testing of Plant (8.2 & 8.3 testing) along with CPPA & independent engineer.
• Prepared the punch lists along with costing form operations side.
• Lead the operations team in transforming project form commissioning to operational phase.

Shift Engineer Operations

December 2010 to December 2015.

GE O&M Contractual Services—225MW Bhikki Power project, Punjab

Worked as Shift Engineer on 225MW combine cycle power plant consist of two Gas Turbines (6FA+e) along with steam turbine GE (GENP SC-26). 

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure the smooth operation of plant as per standard operating procedures under all scenarios like plant startup, shutdown & normal operation. 
• Implementation of GE Safe Working Procedures & Emergency Response Procedures to ensure the safety of both equipment & plant personals.
• To ensure the Power purchase agreement compliance by managing the load as per Declared Available Capacity.
• Preliminary investigation & trouble shooting of various operational issues.
• To coordinate with maintenance team, management & external bodies (power purchasers). 
• To lead & facilitate my operation team.
• Preparation of daily operation report comprising of plant overall efficiency, fuel consumption, generation and other record.

Hands-on Experience

• GE gas turbine frame 6FA+e (Control mark vi-e).

Site Engineer (Execution)

July 2009 to December 2010.

Descon Engineering Pvt Ltd— Bhikki, Punjab

Worked as Site Engineer on 225MW Bhikki power project plant installation & commissioning, consist of two gas turbines(GE Frame 6FA+e) & one stream turbine(GENP SC-26) each of 75MW capacity.

• Plan, coordinate, direct programs & tasks by directly involving with the team but influencing the entire plant construction.
• Followed through with competent execution of the project planes by providing proper tools & equipment to all construction personnel. 
•   Installation of Gas turbine (6FA+e), Steam Turbine (SC-26) and all related equipment of turbine according to GE drawings. Alignment of all the rotary equipment. 
• Erection of interconnection and off base piping, hydro testing, oil flushing according to the standards.
• Monitor the safety of all contraction activities, making on-site personnel safety the top priority. 
• Commissioning of Gas Turbines along with GE TAs.
•    Erection of 110TPH HRSG, lead the team for the erection of Equipment and off base and interconnection piping.
•   Commissioning of the plant with GE O&M and EPC team. 
  • Major equipment Fabrication & Erection of Cement plant like Pre-heater, Electrostatic precipitator, Raw mill &FD fans.
