Smart QR Attendance & Inventory App with Firebase

I designed and developed a cross-platform mobile app using Flutter and Firebase for a business client who wanted to simplify attendance tracking and inventory management.

Client Goal:
The client needed an easy-to-use mobile solution that allowed employees to check in/out using QR codes while also tracking daily stock usage in real-time. They wanted a single app that worked on both Android and iOS, with cloud-based reporting.

Challenges & Solutions:

Real-time Sync: Attendance and inventory had to be updated instantly across devices. I integrated Firebase Realtime Database and Firestore to keep all data synced.

QR Code Generation & Scanning: Implemented a custom QR scanner for employees to mark attendance. Each employee had a unique QR ID for security.

Inventory Alerts: Used Firebase Cloud Functions to send push notifications when stock fell below a set limit.

Offline Mode: Added local caching with SQLite so the app works even without internet and syncs later.

Dashboard & Reports: Created an admin dashboard with charts (Flutter Charts package) for attendance and stock history.
