Procurement Leadership Role

Liaises with key stakeholders to determine their product and service requirements.

Monitors market trends and product availability to procure goods and services at the best prices without compromising quality or delivery times.

Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate optimal pricing for the company.

Identifies and researches potential new suppliers.

Researches new products and services to meet business objectives.

Assesses total costs of company purchases.

Develops and implements strategies for procurement, storage, and distribution of goods or services and maintains stock levels.

Leads a team of purchasing professionals (in large organizations).

Reports to the Chief Procurement Officer.

Job Requirements

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and is adept at networking.

Demonstrates strong data analysis and organizational skills, along with good business acumen and mathematical abilities.

Is an effective negotiator with strong financial analysis skills.

Has a solid understanding of supply chain management procedures and logistics.

Excels in strategic planning and possesses knowledge of supply management software.

Requires specialized industry knowledge and experience as a procurement clerk or junior buyer.

A bachelor's or master's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, engineering, economics, applied science, or a related field, preferably accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
