    Description

    Job Overview

    Mushawar Solutions is seeking an Accountant to join its finance team. This role will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of month-end closing procedures, maintaining and controlling general ledger accounts, and applying GAAP principles.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Collaborate with the Controller to manage day-to-day operations of the Accounting/Finance Department.
    2. Process receipts, record revenue and receivables, and prepare month-end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
    3. Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions, and prepare general journal entries.
    4. Analyze information by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying data, and providing accounting support for mergers and acquisitions.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
    • CPA (or equivalent certification) or MBA preferred.
    • 2-3 years of experience in a US-based accounting environment.
    • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise highly preferred.

    Preferred Skills

    • Familiarity with US GAAP practices.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
