Head of Fabrication

At ACE Consultants, we are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead our fabrication team in Karachi, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop products in line with marketing department and customer requirements.
2. Prepare specifications and bill of materials for product design purposes.
3. Manufacture prototypes for approved contracts and tenders.
4. Optimize product design to minimize costs.
5. Select parts for localization or vendorization, coordinating with the Product Research & Development team.
6. Develop dies, jigs, and fixtures for in-house part production.
7. Plan, organize, and control manufacturing processes.
8. Ensure customer satisfaction through cost-effective solutions and timely delivery.
9. Maintain resource utilization while minimizing waste and underutilization.
10. Select machines, tools, and materials for approved products.
11. Provide guidelines during development on design changes or improvements to the Purchase and PR&D teams.
12. Closely coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure part quality.
13. Maintain equipment and facilities in optimal condition.
14. Study and prepare parts and drawings for new models and their duty structure as per government regulations.
15. Flotation of parts and drawings for quotation, price negotiation, and subsequent ordering.

The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry, preferably from Japan, China, or Korea based companies. Strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.
