We are an early-stage fashion design company with a vision to grow and evolve in the fashion industry. As we expand, we are looking for a Fashion Design Assistant to join as an intern on our team. Responsibilities

• Design Development: Assist in researching and developing design themes, color palettes, and fabric choices to align with the overall vision.
• Illustration and Technical Design: Create detailed sketches and technical charts to guide the development of garment silhouettes, embellishments, and construction.
• Fabric Selection and Handling: Research and select appropriate fabrics, ensuring sample materials match the structure of final fabrics and meet design needs.
• Pattern Making and Construction: Draft patterns, cut sample fabrics, and construct prototypes while ensuring alignment with technical designs and intended silhouettes.
• Trend Research: Monitor fashion trends and contribute to mood boards or presentations to inspire designs and maintain alignment with seasonal goals.
• Sample Evaluation: Participate in fittings, assess sample garments for quality and fit, and document revisions to improve final designs.
• Material Sourcing: Source fabrics, trims, and embellishments, while building relationships with vendors as necessary for design projects.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed samples for adherence to technical specifications and provide feedback for necessary improvements.
• Organizational Support: Maintain an organized workspace and assist with updating physical and digital design files.
• Team Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with designers, pattern makers, and sample makers to ensure a smooth workflow and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
