    Assistant Manager Production Job Description

    A prestigious automotive sector leader, with a reputation for manufacturing high-grade engineering components, seeks an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Manager Production at its Karachi office.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standards by managing production-related documentation and implementing quality control measures.
    2. Develop and execute effective production planning strategies, setting targets and monitoring results to optimize efficiency.
    3. Conduct regular assessments of labor, equipment, and process efficiency through daily production reports (DPRs) and implement improvements as needed.
    4. Craft and enforce work instructions to guarantee seamless execution on the shop floor.
    5. Promote best manufacturing practices, such as Kaizen, 5S, and Skill Matrix Charts, to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
    6. Foster collaboration between Quality Control & Assurance and Production teams to address quality issues during and after production.
    7. Coordinate maintenance activities with the Maintenance department to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
    8. Work closely with the Supply Chain department to guarantee timely material and consumable deliveries.
    9. Oversee calibration activities for gauges and instruments used in production to maintain accuracy and precision.
    10. Support the Production and QC/QA Teams in managing non-conforming products, from initiation to disposal.
    11. Provide training and guidance to the production team on daily preventive maintenance, inspection, testing, and production recording procedures.
    12. Design and conceptualize parts, components, gauges, fixtures, and tools as required, utilizing expertise in CAD software like AutoCAD and Pro-e.
    13. Identify opportunities to increase process efficiency and suggest infrastructure changes to maximize output.
    14. Pursue other tasks assigned by management to ensure overall success.

    Job Requirements:

    1. Proven experience in managing Die Casting and Machining Processes.
    2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    4. Exceptional planning, organization, and time management skills.
