Lead accountant - Lahore, Pakistan - More Than Accountants Private Limited
Description
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Lead Accountant to join our dynamic team in Lahore. This role is focused on providing accounting services for our UK-based practice, excellent communication skills in English, and an understanding of UK accounting standards and practices.
Educational Requirements:
Must be ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ACMA, or CPA qualified Familiarity with UK accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) is essential.
Experience Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a UK-based firm. Leadership experience, having managed teams or projects. Knowledge of the UK tax systems and accounting practices. (please don't apply if you don't have UK-based experience)
Technical Skills:
5-7 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in international accounting software and systems, especially those used in the UK such as Xero. Expertise in financial reporting and UK tax planning. Strong skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting.
Soft Skills:
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Effective communication skills to liaise with UK-based clients. High level of adaptability to work with international standards and practices.
Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing the Lahore office's accounting functions. Ensuring compliance with UK accounting and financial regulations. Collaborating closely with the UK head office to maintain consistency in practices. Developing financial strategies and policies that align with the firm's objectives. Playing a key role in the expansion and growth of the Lahore office. Managing a team of senior accountants and management accountants.
Other Qualifications:
Understanding of cross-border financial transactions and currency exchange implications. Ability to stay abreast of changes in international financial regulations. Willingness to coordinate with the UK office as required.
We strictly follow UK base timings which will be from 9am to 5pm BST.
