    Description

    Assistant Tax Manager

    Gain a comprehensive understanding of Sales Tax practices and exemptions, staying up-to-date on the latest regulatory changes. Possess in-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Ordinance, with experience in obtaining various admissible exemptions under the law.

    Familiarity with SROs related to import and GST is essential, as well as expertise in navigating double taxation treaties. Skilled professionals in this role can effectively countercheck routine tax returns submitted by the company, handle tax audits, and perform complex tax research to identify opportunities for benefit.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Tax Planning and Research:

    • Prepare tax planning strategies to minimize organizational liabilities.
    • Conduct thorough tax research to stay current on changing tax regulations and identify areas for improvement.

    Tax Compliance and Audits:

    • Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns.
    • Handle all tax audits, working closely with tax authorities to resolve any discrepancies or issues.

    Communication and Reporting:

    • Assist accounting staff members in client meetings, providing expert tax advice as needed.
    • Prepare and present tax reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

    Tax Governance and Leadership:

    • Delegate tasks to tax staff and oversee their work through regular performance evaluations and feedback.
    • Make informed decisions regarding tax strategy and policy, taking into account organizational goals and objectives.
