- Provide technical advice to countries for strengthening routine immunization systems and improving coverage and equity.
- Develop and implement comprehensive multi-year plans, district microplans, and monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Oversee planning and implementation of measles/rubella control/elimination activities, including supplementary immunization activities and case-based laboratory surveillance.
- Coordinate activities related to the introduction of new vaccines, including applications to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and necessary training.
- Develop and implement polio transition plans and oversee laboratory-based surveillance of Rotavirus gastroenteritis and invasive bacterial vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Serve as a technical advisor to the public concerning investigation and response to outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Supervise and guide other EPI field staff at federal, provincial, and district levels.
- Monitor resource mobilization for EPI-related activities and timely utilization of funds.
- Master's degree in medicine, epidemiology, or public health with a specialization in immune or vaccine-related areas.
- At least 10 years of extensive and practical experience in immunization programmes and control of vaccine-preventable diseases at high managerial levels.
- Excellent knowledge of principles, practices, methodology, and techniques of immunization programmes.
- Excellent capacity in developing strategies and plans related to immunization programmes.
