Accounts Payable Specialist

This role is responsible for managing outgoing payments and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues with vendors.
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure all invoices are uploaded and manage all credit card transactions to adhere to policies.
• Make calls as needed to managers and others to resolve issues or obtain information.
• Shift through financials and organize material for audit purposes.
• Manage loans and calculate startup costs.
• Handle other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work longer hours as needed.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop.

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
