Job summary
Deep hands-on expertise in ASC 606 including complex multi-element arrangements performance obligation identification transaction price allocation and revenue recognition timing Strong command of US GAAP with the ability to apply guidance to evolving and non-standard revenue models Proven experience leading revenue accounting for organizations with $100M+ in annual revenue 250+ concurrent customers and hundreds of active contracts Demonstrated success managing revenue in high-volume environments with thousands of individual deliverables recognized across multiple periods Executive ownership of revenue accounting across the full revenue lifecycle from contract review through billing revenue recognition and cash collection Close cooperation with the Director of Contract Management on contract intake standards required data elements Revenue review of new contracts amendments change orders renewals and terminations Contract classification interpretation for revenuer recognition billing WIP PoC purposes End-to-end ownership Work Progress WIP Percentage Completion PoC accounting including cost-to-cost milestone-based output methodologies Expert management reconciliation Deferred Revenue Unbilled Revenue /Contract Assets Accrued Revenue Billing Accounts Receivable & Collections Leadership Direct oversight the Billing function ensuring accurate timely contract-compliant invoicing Full ownership Accounts Receivable operations AR aging exposure analysis Credit risk assessment Cash application reconciliation Leadership collections dunning strategy Design execution dunning workflows Escalation management past-due disputed balances Collaboration Sales Customer Success Legal customer payment issues Ownership customer payment processes balancing cash discipline long-term customer relationships Systems Architecture Automation Integrations Advanced NetSuite expertise configuration Saved searches reports analytics Ownership systems architecture serving Quote-cash project-revenue workflows Data governance Proven experience driving process automation improving scalability accuracy control Hands-on integrating external CRM project delivery systems Salesforce Kantata PSA/project delivery platforms Ability translate contract terms delivery data automated billing logic Controls Audit PE Readiness Ownership SOX-ready processes internal controls Strong leadership audit support walkthroughs Technical memo preparation Management PBC requests Documentation formal policies aligned PE governance People Leadership Cross-Functional Influence Direct supervision development team team team Cross-functional partnership Sales Operations Legal FP&A Customer Success Influence outcomes teams without direct reporting authority Executive communication skills comfort operating high-visibility environments Preferred Qualifications CPA equivalent certification prior experience PE-backed pre-IPO acquisitive environments Background SaaS Professional Services complex project-based models Experience leading NetSuite-centric transformations
