Zehra fatima Tooba

Born and based in Karachi, Pakistan, Currently working as an Art Therapist at renowned Organization Dawood public school, her educational background includes a Diploma from Karachi School of Arts (KSA)-Specialization in Sculpture, Minor Painting - 2014, and bachelors from Karachi University - 2013. Currently she is doing PGD in psychology from Virtual University.She has been awarded with a medal of ‘’Best Student Of The Year-2014" on her artistic skills and dedication towards her work from the Fine Arts Department, Karachi school of Art and also awarded ‘’Best Live Drawing’’ by media chronicles PAF-Kiet, college of Media & Arts in Karachi -2012. She has exhibited at many renowned galleries including State Bank Of Pakistan, Art Chowk Gallery Karachi, VM Art Gallery, Arts Council Karachi, Sadequain Gallery, National Art Gallery Islamabad, Gallery 6 Islamabad, Art Lane Gallery Port Grand, Clifton Art Gallery, WWF Pakistan, IVASS Gallery, and Studio Seven Art Gallery. She was selected in honor of VM Art Gallery's upcoming 17-year legacy of the Emerging Talent Exhibition; “Emerged” showcases works of its selected alumni to celebrate their careers since their time as Emerging Talent participants. She also curated her first show on mental health awareness “Post-partum Depression” 14 renowned Artist from different countries at “ART CHOWK” the Gallery Clifton, Karachi. 2021 She has worked as a Drawing and Sculpture Instructor (Visiting Faculty) at Karachi School of Art in 2017. Driven by her passion to explore more and more new dimensions of creativity, she has worked for the Classic Bread commercial as a Sand Artist and also as a Character Modeler at The Comic Company in 2015. She also participated in an online Mascot Art Competition in Munich, Germany held in 2012 and many others.Her passion to professionally explore ‘Art Therapy’ she has completed ‘Annual Psychiatry Certificate Course’ from Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi. Currently she is practicing Art Therapy at the ARC – Aas recovery centre.
