Hello, I am a dedicated and enthusiastic student pursuing a dual specialization in Project Management and Information and Communication Technology at the esteemed University of Management and Technology (UMT). With a passion for efficiently turning ideas into reality, I have honed my skills in planning, organizing, and executing projects. Through my studies, I am developing a deep understanding of project lifecycles, risk assessment, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.

My first job was an internship offered by my own university (University of Management and Technology). It was a teaching-based internship. The idea was that we the senior students would teach the junior students about the core concepts of the courses that we have previously studied and scored good grades in those courses. We would help the junior students understand the things that they are not able to understand in their classroom by conducting a ‘Peer-Tutoring Session’ every week. I learned to communicate with new people and understand that their experience can be different from my experience and in order for me to help them, I need to put myself in their position to understand where they are coming from. I worked as a peer tutor for two semesters.

After this, I joined a shoe-thrifting start-up called ‘Athletic Corner’. At first, my employer wanted me to explore my abilities in Customer Support. I worked as a customer support intern for the first half of my internship. While doing my internship I enrolled in Project Management certification offered by Google through Coursera. After one and a half months, my employer encouraged me to jump and explore my abilities in the social media domain. I started handling the social media channels of the company.

My employer was impressed by my abilities so after the completion of my internship they offered me the role of ‘Team Manager’ where I would manage the complete social media team of the company. Our social media team was entirely remote. I was responsible for managing the workflow of the team, and setting goals, KPIs, and milestones for the team. I was also communicating with all the members of the team to assess their position which would help me improve the performance of the team. Throughout my working period with the company, I was also learning Project Management skills through the Google Project Management certification. As a team leader, I got the ability to apply the project management knowledge that I learned directly to my job and that was a wonderful experience. I integrated Project Management software into our team’s workflows which helped the performance a lot. While working with Athletic Corner I learned to communicate with teammates, time management, and I got the chance to apply my project management knowledge in the real world.

I have been pursuing a "Bachelor in Project Management" at the University of Management and Technology since January 2021. Additionally, completed the "Google Project Management: Specialization" on Coursera from January 2023 to June 2023, offered by Google. This educational journey demonstrates a dedicated commitment to mastering project management skills, both academically and through specialized online courses.
