For the past six years, I have worked in various oil and gas, offshore construction and installation sites for a company that provides engineering and constructions solutions to the energy industry. In my role as a Safety Officer, I was responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures, conducting safety audits, and providing training to employees. My training qualifies me to identify areas within the workplace that pose potential risks. I will utilize my skills to identify areas that require improvement and implement an action plan. 

Safety Officer

• Inspect specified areas to verify presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment and first-aid supplies.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, recording findings and recommending corrective actions on final reports.
• Maintain adequate supply of approved safety and PPE supplies for work force.
• Train new employees in proper safety procedures to minimize accidents with proper behaviors.
• Recommended methods to reduce ongoing hazards with improved methods, processes and materials.
• Conduct safety training or education programs to demonstrate use of safety equipment.
• Investigate, resolve and report on occurrences documented on employee incident and accident reports.
• Analyze incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses and accidents.
