Waleed Azeem

Experienced agricultural professional with expertise in tasks such as crop management and fertilization, farm equipment maintenance, and field cultivation. Prior experience of 2 years as
Research Officer in an organization (REEDS Pakistan Vehari, Punjab from 21 November 2021 to 16 August 2023)  and farming in various capacities, including cotton farms, Rice farms (also Black Rice), mushroom cultivation, hydroponic agriculture and orchard settings. Took on managerial roles in prior position and supervised progress in agricultural tasks completed by other workers. Successfully doubled per acre yield under own supervision.

I have two years of professional experience as a Research Officer at REEDS Pakistan Vehari, Punjab (21 November 2021 - 16 August 2023), where I contributed to the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) project. During my tenure at the organization, I also developed expertise in crop production technology, with a focus on cotton crop, through hands-on experience and dedicated work. 

I have an MPhil in Agriculture with a specialization in Plant Pathology, and my research has centered on investigating alternate weed hosts of fungal pathogens specifically within the cotton crop context. This educational background and research experience have provided me with in-depth knowledge and expertise in plant pathology and its practical relevance in managing cotton, rice and other major crops.
