About WAHID ALI:

I am highly motivated Geotechnical Engineer with a PhD degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnics), and master's and bachelor's degrees in Mining Engineering. I have a good understanding of rock mechanics principles used in underground structures design. A decent user of the 3D finite element modelling software. I have worked as Tunnel engineer in a mega project and have experience of tunnelling project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of tunnel construction activities and ensuring the work is carried out as per approved contract document.
Review contractor’s NCRs, RFIs and FCRs and making prompt response to resolve it.
Handling contractor’s request for Inspection (RFI) of the work performed and comment and approve/disapprove the work whether the work is executed as per IFC drawings and met quality standards and project specifications.
Review and evaluate contractor’s claims for geological overbreaks as per approved criteria.
Instruct changes in the RESS based on engineering judgment.
Frequent review of the tunnel convergence monitoring reports. Taking measures to avoid damages in case the convergence exceeds the allowable tolerance.
Ensure the daily activity reports are collected, reviewed and submitted on time.
