I am working as a Principal Scientific Officer for more than 8 years (Clinical Molecular Scientist) at Rehman Medical Institute, here I’m heading the Molecular Diagnostics Department performing a variety of tests of virology, bacteriology, and oncology providing the best services to the patient using state of the art multinational molecular systems for definite diagnosis of different diseases.  

I have the expertise as a bioinformatician as well as a human geneticist. I have developed skills for data analysis, especially the genomic data specifically related to SNP genotyping/ gene expression and NGS data as well. I believe that being a part of your team I can perform best to lead this department.

I have done my Ph.D. from Quaid I Azam University Islamabad from the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Human Molecular genetics in the field of neurology.

During my Doctorate, I worked on Intellectual disability (ID), a cognitive disorder affecting the brain during development, we studied the genes and their variants involved in ID that how they affect these genes and proteins that cause cognitive impairment. Further, we also explore how different genes and their variants involving brain function integrate at the molecular level forming a network of genes that work together in a circuitry way to control cognitive functions.

During this journey of my research; I developed research skills and developed an excellent flavor of how research is performed and how they are financed. Besides this I have a strong grip and command of theoretical knowledge of human genetics and genomics; additionally, have strong communication skills with excellent report writing in scientific literature.
