I believe that working with pupils is all about building relationships and creating a positive learning environment. Getting to know my pupils is the first most thing for me individually. Finding out about their strengths and weaknesses and their learning styles. This supports in tailoring my teaching to their individual needs. I am patient and flexible with pupils by keeping a positive and encouraging attitude. I give them positive feedback to keep them motivated. I like to set clear expectations for pupils’ behaviours, work ethic and academic achievement. I like to be fair with pupils so they can trust and be consistent to work towards success. This also allows them to feel safe and secure in the classroom. The role of teacher is to inspire and be like a role model for the pupils by my behaviour which I seek to see in others.
My teaching style while delivering instruction is teacher and student centric keeping the students engaged and encouraging them to explore and discover new information on their own. Some times problem-based scenario is provided to the pupils so they look for solutions like case studies. Project and group-based assessments are also used in some subject areas.
Classroom management is a diplomatic task, some times we need to be authoritative when the pupils are getting out of control and ensure student participation. At a higher level we have to be permissive and allow students to make their own decisions.
I have experience in teaching business management subjects, I have knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies, A-Level Business Studies and BBA.
Safeguarding students and protecting them from any type of harm and ensuring wellbeing of their overall emotional, social, and physical health.
As a teacher, I have a responsibility to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of my students. This means creating a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and respected. I have taken workshops on quality education and have participated in conferences on education. I have taken training in school security management, design thinking and quality enhancement by Higher Education Commission. In university while teaching preparing for lessons is common, assessing the pupils and grading them, counselling students and meeting parents to communicate progress. Ensuring the pupil participate in extra curricular activities and mentoring student societies. I also help them in developing professional skills and organizing events.
I am specially interested in corporate social responsibilities and doing charity events along with business idea incubations and promoting entrepreneurship among pupils.
