I am a development professional formally trained in the field of environment and forestry sciences with over 20 years of experience in research, analysis, strategic design, management, monitoring, evaluation and implementation of projects and programs in natural resource use, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in Pakistan. My work related to environment, climate change and natural resource use remained focused on Indigenous and rural communities across Pakistan on conservation, and development with a passion and commitment for programs that improve the well-being of needy communities. 

 

I have proven strong technical leadership, and networking and inter-personal skills in diverse multicultural and multi-institutional settings (NGOs, philanthropy, civil society, governments and the private sector).

Experience

I possess more than 20 years of diverse professional experience in sustainable development, natural `resources and environmental management. During my work with global development networks like One UN, UNDP, with non profit organizations like WWF – Pakistan, LEAD Pakistan and Government agencies like Ministry of Climate Change , Ministry of Law, Ministry of Water & Power, National Highway Authority and Punjab Forest Department, I was responsible for developing, planning, executing monitoring and evaluation of projects that required high level inputs and expertise on environment, nature conservation, climate change and related development issues.

I actively participated in the rehabilitation activities related to earthquake 2005,  floods of 2010 and combating desertification during 2019

Education

I have a Master (M.Sc) degree in Forestry with specialization in social forestry from the Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar. In addition to this I have also completed a master’s course work and possess a post graduate diploma in Applied Environmental Sciences, from the Institute of Geology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
