About shahid bhutto:
As a teacher of environmental and material chemistry, my goal is to impart a deep understanding of the fundamental principles that govern the behavior of chemical substances in the environment and in the synthesis and processing of materials. I believe that a strong foundation in these areas is essential for students to be able to critically evaluate and solve real-world problems related to environmental sustainability and the development of new materials.
In my chemistry teaching, experience (Two Years) with intermediate students at NCR-CET College, I strive to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment that engages students in the process of discovery and encourages them to think critically and creatively. I use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, computer-aided learning, discussions, problem-based learning, and lab activities, to help students develop their analytical and problem-solving skills.
I also place a strong emphasis on the practical applications of the concepts being learned and strive to provide students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience through lab work, research, and projects. Being a senior scientist-PCSIR, I used to practically experience the reaction transformation and physical phenomena like precipitation, sublimation, separation, adsorption, UV treatment, etc. Thereby published 19 research papers in peer-reviewed journals. I believe that this experiential learning is essential for helping students understand the relevance of the material and to see how their knowledge can be applied in the real world. Being a senior scientist with 12 years of experience at PCSIR I have trained more than 129 undergraduate students on environmental chemistry and analysis along with hands-on AAS and UV-spectrometry. I have also supervised two M.Phil/MS students in material chemistry. With the ability of excellent communication, I have presented my research work orally in seminars/conferences at six different events.
I have recently taught at Bahria University as a “Visiting Faculty Member” from February 2023 to June 2024 in the environment and earth department. The courses I taught are as below:
- Environmental Chemistry
- Pollution control Technology
- Environmental Monitoring
Overall, my goal is to inspire students to become lifelong learners and to become leaders in the fields of environmental and material chemistry Laboratories and research. I am passionate about working with students and teachers to nurture the bright future of our pupils.
