Project Support & Land Negotiations
- Participating actively in the pre-development and planning phase of projects, I supported land acquisition processes, land contract negotiations, and entitlement procedures. - Manager Commercial Power (Utility Compliances) Rectification and High Bill Reconciliation:
In my capacity as Manager Commercial Power, I was entrusted with the comprehensive management of approximately 8,500 cell tower sites across the nation, a crucial element in maintaining uninterrupted telecom services and optimizing financial performance.
Site Management & Electrical Infrastructure Oversight
- I supervised the maintenance, rectification, and optimal functioning of electrical appliances at all sites. This entailed rigorous oversight of lease agreements and lease payments, ensuring contractual obligations were met without delays. I coordinated regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. My role involved detecting electrical faults, coordinating repairs with vendors, and ensuring preventive maintenance of transformers and WAPDA equipment, thereby reducing downtime and operational risks.
Billing & Financial Analysis
- I spearheaded efforts to integrate all sites into the Advanced Billing System (ABS). This entailed ongoing monthly reporting, detailed analysis of high-billing sites, and proactive measures to address discrepancies, thereby improving billing accuracy. I generated comprehensive monthly billing reports for WAPDA, encompassing analysis of BTS sites, BSC, and MSC components, and I led corrective actions to resolve billing anomalies swiftly.
Power Supply & Vendor Coordination
- A key responsibility was ensuring uninterrupted power supply through effective coordination with WAPDA across the country. I managed the timely restoration of commercial power, facilitated new power connections, and expedited site rollouts. This involved negotiation and coordination for demand note (DN) issuance, which helped in reducing fuel costs and speeding up project timelines.
Monitoring & Compliance
- I maintained meticulous records of all WAPDA documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as NEPRA, Electric Inspectorates of Punjab, Sindh, AJK, KP, and the Ministry of Power. Regular site inspections were conducted for project execution, equipment replacement, and safety conformity. Safety audits and environmental health programs formed an integral part of my strategic oversight, minimizing risks and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Power Monitoring & Maintenance
- To optimize power consumption and ensure site uptime, I monitored transformers and WAPDA equipment diligently. I coordinated maintenance activities with vendors to resolve faults promptly, reducing operational delays and improving network reliability. Monthly meter readings and follow-up activities ensured accurate billing, aligned with power consumption patterns.
