With over 16 years of experience as a Banking Professional, I have overseen teams as small and as large as Many. In my current position at MCB Bank Limited Pakistan, I manage Operational Risk & Internal Controls (Offside & on the side) Bank-wide engaging responsibilities and ensuring the timely and correct completion of my work. When necessary, I train all Retail Banking Staff and interact directly with them on any issues, standards, and best practices. My primary responsibilities, which directly relate to and report to the Department Head Operational Risk Compliance Internal Controls & RCSA the Risk Management Division of the Bank has to fill, are highlighted below.

Responsible for engaging, executing, and validating Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process bank-wide in accordance with the policies and procedures by assisting process owners with the effective implementation of the RCSA framework. Also, ensure adherence to the RCSA framework in true spirit through gap identification and validation of results of RCSA testing.

I am Responsible for engaging, executing, and validating Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process bank-wide in accordance with the policies and procedures by assisting process owners with the effective implementation of the RCSA framework. Also, ensure adherence to the RCSA framework in true spirit through gap identification and validation of results of RCSA testing under gathering Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and conducting Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) on an ongoing basis to supervise Operational Risk of the bank in line with the Operational Risk Management Framework. Review of policies/procedures of the bank including overseas operations with operational risk perspective, Coordination for development of AML/CFT/KYC bank wide handbook / Internal Control Framework, Operational Risk Framework and as per Regulatory Requirements. Suggested necessary feedback/comments to the management. Recommend improvements and assists in updating RSCA activity, so these are dynamic in line with new regulatory, corporate, and process requirements. Bank wide validation of Risk Self-Assessment testing of all BE’s (Branch Entities) & (Non-Branch Entities) NBEs  through branch visits as per RCSA framework, Internal Control Policy, Regulatory Requirements and Operational Manual of the Bank. Execute and compile validation reports and conduct close interaction with respective stakeholders, process owners and etc. Mapping of internal Controls over financial reporting and identify adequacy of existing controls and policies. Implement and Monitor compliance with regulatory issues & obtain periodical updates. Provide training on RCSA & internal control system to operations staff (7 to 8 trainings in a month).
