I have been working in the different fields of the development sector since 2012 with various organizations. I have done my B-TECH from Preston Institute of Management and Science Technology, Lahore and has done D.A.E from G.C.T Lahore and AutoCAD Diploma from P.B.T.E Lahore.

 

I am working with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) as Infrastructure  Engineer for the implementation on the project in three districts of Balochistan including Pishin, Zhob ,Quetta and Barkhan. During the project implementation, the entire responsivities related to projects identification, selection and implementation was in my TORs. In addition to that, the process of bank accounts opening of each project beneficiaries for the processing of fund transfer were also performed very smoothly. During my job carrier, I have been associated with different International, National, Provincial and local organization in diversified disciplines. The key organizations included Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)-RAHA, Balochistan Rural Development and Research Society (BRDRS) while implementing the various projects of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Balochistan Education Project funded by Global Partnership for Education through Balochistan Education Department, Baluchistan Education Foundation (BEF), Water, Environment and Sanitation Society (WESS) implementing the BESP Project, and Youth Organization implementing the Program for Poverty Reduction (PPR) of (PPAF). I have diversified experience in various fields as mentioned above and have the technical skills of implementing the hard and soft components related to construction, rehabilitation, leaded field activities related to engineering and infrastructure rehabilitation and development projects while addressing the poverty and economic development, program monitoring and proposal development of the Small Scale Community Physical Infrastructure Schemes and Livelihood Enhancement and Protection (LEP) and its implementation

Generally responsible for implementations of all civil works at site.

Coordinate with the program team in planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting the civil/infrastructure facilities in the field.

Performs designs of civil works for various rural infrastructure and horticulture value chain facilities, including cost estimates, drawings and tender documents.

Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all civil works prior to execution.

Helps in preparation and evaluation of related tender documents and contractors’ bids.

Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends the best options for approval prior to execution at site.

Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.

Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the civil work groups and beneficiaries of the project at site.

Plans the execution of all civil related works and coordinates the works to electrical, mechanical or related specialists.

Monitors the actual physical works at site using effective performance and reporting tools.

Coordinates with the contractors, implementing partners, beneficiaries, government counterparts and supervisor for any site instructions, wok plans, quality assurance and inspection of works.

Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all civil works at site.

Maintains and submits site daily reports/logbooks, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis.

Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.

Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.

Directly responsible for the safety of all infrastructure/construction personnel of the civil works by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

Mobilize farmers into interest groups using Farmer Field School techniques for learning, sharing experience and improving farming practices;
 Support the established farmer groups to undertake joint value addition activities with agricultural produces;
 Collect information from the field and support Muslim Aid  technical team in developing knowledge materials, such as handouts, brochures, guidelines and training modules; 
 Establish and facilitate of Farmer Field Schools (FFS) or Farmer Business Schools (FBS) for participatory learning and regularly visit the established groups to support them with daily activities;

 Provide support and facilitate farmer groups in introduction and establishment of Climate Smart Agriculture

Assist the water management expert in coordination, liaising and collaborative activities with irrigation department at field level.

Collect sample from sites to perform quality testing for better quality work assurance.

Compile periodic reports and submit to the water management expert for finalization and submission.

Ensure reporting of the work progress on site as well as any issue emerging in the field related to work on site.

Monitor the process of disbursement of cash to community members participating in ‘Cash for Work’ (CFW) activities.

Position:                            Project Engineer. 

Prepare the Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annually progress Report as well as Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annually Work plan approved by Head Office.

 To conduct survey and feasibility of the community based physical infrastructure schemes identified by the community organizations.

Act as the main Technical Adviser to the Contractor and supervise the works of the Site Engineer, Manager, Technicians, Craftsmen, Masons, Plumbers and other related workers and maintain precise and regular journal of work progress.

Manage, monitor, interpret and explain the building plan, drawing and design documents supplied by the concerned authority.

Maintain constant coordination between the Contractor and BRDRS Executive Director or his assigned official(s).

Maintain constant liaison with the Contractor and their representatives (Architects, Engineers and Surveyors), including attending regular meetings to ensure the pace of work progress. 

Survey the construction site and ensure that construction activities are carried out within demarcated land boundary and protect the site from external encroachment.

Maintain liaison with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) and sort out emerging issues in consultation with BRDRS Executive Director and his assignees to ensure uninterrupted progress of the construction works.

Ensure that the construction activities are carried out according to the plans, designs and drawings and ascertain accuracy of the qualities, quantities and proportions of the construction materials are precisely maintained.

Ensure that all materials used and works performed are in accordance with the specifications indicated in the contract document.

Review and agree on the quantity, quality and cost of the materials used for construction of the building by the Contractor.

Ensure that the works timely progress in order to meet agreed deadlines. 

Oversee quality control, health and safety matters of workers on the construction site.

Prepare various narratives, technical and financial reports as required. 

Resolve any unforeseen technical difficulties and other problems that may arise in the process of the work in consultation with the Executive Director.

Position:                           Field Engineer.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annually progress Report as well as Monthly/ Quarterly/ Annually Work plan approved by Head Office.

 To conduct survey and feasibility of the community based physical infrastructure schemes identified by the community organizations.

To prepare cost estimates on the basis of prevailing market rates analysis of raw materials and or according to the schedule rates of the governments, where applicable.

To provide technical guidance to the community in the implementation of Community based infrastructure schemes approved by the PMU.

To carry out technical monitoring of the community-based schemes as per the approved designs and costs estimates and submit reports to the PMU.

To verify and authenticate the quantity and quality of work on the CPIs according to approved design parameters and budget estimates and recommend necessary actions for efficient delivery and completion of schemes.

To support the line departments in designing and preparing PC-1s of the identified schemes.

To provide guidance for operation & maintenance of the CPIs by the community organizations.

Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.

To submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the regional office and PMU.

Position:                     Project Engineer.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:                  

Lead field activities related to engineering and infrastructure rehabilitation and development projects undertaken by BEF in the relevant districts.

Assist the Construction Manager and other relevant staff in planning   infrastructure development programs  and construction activities.

Support all rehabilitation and construction activities undertaken by BEF in the relevant district Ziarat and Harnai with improved coordination and timely technical inputs in order to effectively meet completion targets.

Oversee implementation activities such as design reviews, procurement of project materials, and implementation on the ground.

Assist in defining standards, formulate procedures and provide training and technical support to the field staff for effective quality control and progress of work of the on-going and future construction activities.

Assist the Construction Manager team leader in timely submission of monthly progress reports on all construction activities undertaken in the respective districts

Verify the payments processed by PEC on achievement of milestones as agreed in the contracts and ensure timely release of payments to the PEC.
