Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zaman earned my PhD Sociology (2009) from University of Leipzig, Germany. He is also winner of Swiss Excellence Scholarship 2014-2015, Erasmus Mundus Post-Doc in Poland, DAAD Scholarship in German and BRI Fellowship . Currently, he is serving at the School of Sociology, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad that he established back in 2014. He won the Grand Challenge Fund on Road Safety in Pakistan from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan a number of other local funding. Dr. Zaman was listed among the top 2% scientists list of the Plos Biology Journal and only sociologist from Pakistan in 2020. HEC awarded him Best Young Researcher Award 2021. Beside this, Dr. Muhammad Zaman is commentator on social issues at various TV channels. He wrote for the Daily Times Newspaper and 92 Newspaper (Urdu) weekly.

Experience

My teaching span over last 15 years in Germany, Switzerland, Poland and Pakistan. I established the School of Sociology at the Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. I started BS, MS, MPhil and PhD programs in Sociology, Criminology, Social Work and Public Health. I won mega funding from Germany, Pakistan and UK.

I did my PhD Sociology in 2009 from Germany.  I have two post-doctoral experiences from Switzerland and Poland.
