Muhammad Shah Zain Khan

I am a multitasker by nature as has demonstrated keen interest in working for education and development sector along with my academic determinations. I have extensively worked in various aspects of education including the development of a library for a school serving low income communities, being a sports teacher in a prominent school in Karachi, assisting educational projects based on developing reading skills of students in early years to primary level. My streak of volunteer work has provided me opportunities for working in development sectors as ICT expert and quality assurance personnel. 
Currently I’m working as an Advocacy Coordinator in Swat, Bahrain with Teachers’ Resource Centre (TRC), funded by UNESCO, Project Title: “Girls’ Education and Safeguarding Cultural Heritage through Education in Pakistan”. The project’s targeted areas are 5 UCs that are (i) Bahrain (ii) Balakot (iii) Bashigram (iv) Kalam (v) Mankyal where I managed to develop good network with community. Government Officials, and teaching faculty. In this project I am responsible to handle all the advocacy events with communities, government officials and other stakeholders and handling all media campaigns through Social Media by creating content and managing the timely uploads. Furthermore, I coordinate with media agencies for radio programs and radio messages on Girls’ Education. I am also handling Focus Group Discussions with Government Official at provincial and district level, with communities, teachers and students. 
Previously I was working as Program Associate for Reaching, Empowering, Accessing, Channelizing, Human Resource (REACH). I was responsible at REACH for providing the overall operational support to all programmatic activities. Assist in Recruitment process for all educational and school nutrition related projects Developing sub project activities budgets and Financial reporting, invoicing for funds. Ensure that the program activities operate within the approved budget. Assist in Research work which includes, tools development, Field data collect plan, Training of enumerators, collecting data for field, transcriptions, results of qualitative data. Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework. Focal person for Educational Management Organizations (EMOs) and Liaison with government and donor agencies. 
I worked as a Hospitality Expert Consultant with IQ Capital Plus in the Project of Ziarat Valley Development Authority to develop a Demand Analysis Report on Hospitality potential in Ziarat– December 2022 till February 2023. Where my Field Work Responsibilities were to develop the survey tools for tourists and hotel owners and open ended interviews of other stakeholders, collecting data from the field on the prescribed tools and consolidate the data and search and selected new tourism sites in Ziarat and its catchment area. Furthermore, I developed the Demand Analysis Report which includes Literature Review, Comparative Analysis of different tourism site, National and International Level, Data Analysis with detailed narration and Detailed findings and results analysis.
I have attended several short courses, workshops, and young leaders conference resulting in building my confidence level and communication skills. I am well acquainted with the 21st century skills as my work demonstrate problem solving skills and critical thinking attributes. 
My inclination towards Communication Skills, Hotel Management and Tourism has led me to achieve my first diploma in Hotel Management and Tourism from Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (PITHM) and later for the bachelor degree of Hospitality Management from KDU University, Malaysia. I have passion for traveling and food. My culinary skills have been improved with working in various hotels and restaurants in Pakistan and Malaysia.
