Muhammad Nazar

An all round civil engineer with 13 years of field experience. I have an advanced knowledge of construction engineering, and infrastructure development. In addition, I have been working in academia since 2013.With a research interest in advanced construction materials, concrete technology (including 3DCP), especially sustainable concrete materials. While, I promote health and safety (HSE) practices, I emphasize upon advancing knowledge, and engaging with industry. 

2013- Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta. Pakistan.  Conduct undergraduate, and  graduate level scholarly research, teaching, and advising. Highlights                         include teaching 12 courses at bachelor’s, and 2 courses at master’s.  Additional Duties include but not limited to; ‘In-charge Materials & Transportation  Lab, and Member Industry-Academia Linkage’. As “ In-charge Materials &  Transportation Lab”, I upgraded the facility to allow commercial testing. 

  1993-2008 Pakistan Army: I served in the Corps of Engrs. I was assigned on infrastructure    construction, development, and maintenance projects. I have also been employed on                       emergency engineering projects in a crisis/conflict/ complex settings i.e. disaster zone during the 2005-Pakistan earthquake

2016-2021 PhD. Civil Engineering: Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), on fully funded Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC). Thesis area 3D concrete printing (3DCP). 

2011 – 2013  MSc. Construction Management (Civil Engineering): Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

1990 – 1994   BSc. Civil Engineering: Military College of Engineering, Risalpur, Pakistan..
