About Muhammad Nadeem Shah:
I feel that my skills are equally well suited to the Pre-Contract or the Contract Phase of Construction projects. I have the skills necessary to carry out the Pre-Contract, Contract Phase and Post Contract duties required by Consultants, Main Contractor, Sub-contractor, or Client side equally well. Therefore, positions in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Bid Management and Commercial Management would be ideal roles for me in any of these environments however I feel that my personal preference for my career would be towards “Quantity Surveyor “with, preferably, a career progression route.
During the 30 years in the field and previously have been employed by Consultants and Contractor i.e FWO, NLC, SARCO, Asian Consulting Engineering Services etc., I have found that this has helped my overall development and grounding and broadened my skills in working Estimation, Verification, Preparation of IPA, Variation Order, Cost Estimation and dealing with Sub-contract environments. All my career positions helped me to gain knowledge and practice of studying, implementation of contracts, interpretation of contract, technical specification/requirements and FIDIC as well as preparation of subcontracts.
I feel my strengths are that I am motivated, accurate, thorough, a good communicator, well organized, willing to learn new skills, open minded, efficient, and determined to succeed and patient.
I worked in Saudi Arabia for two years with Alrabiah Consulting Engineering Services, Dammam on a mega project as Chief Quantity Surveyor for two years at “AL RUQ’EE BORDER EXIT PROJECT”.
I always plan well and hope for the best while been prepared to deal with the daily obstacles that the modern working world presents to us. If things do go wrong, I am ready to respond as quickly and efficiently as my skills would allow.
I have always believed that everyone, no matter how young or at what level they are, can have a positive input into a project. I would also count Sub-contractors and general operatives among that group as they have a wealth of knowledge and experience that all people at management level should tap into and make use of.
Currently I am working with IDAP, Pakistan as QS-MEP from May 2019 till now.
Thanks, and Regards,
Muhammad Nadeem Shah,
Chief quantity surveyor, Civil/MEP
