I am writing to express my interest in the GIS Technician position. With over five years of professional experience in geospatial analysis and environmental mapping, I bring a proven ability to leverage GIS tools for ecological planning, afforestation strategies, and sustainable development initiatives.
In my current role with the Up Scaling of Green Pakistan Programme (10 Billion Tree Tsunami Programme) under the Forest Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I have contributed significantly to spatial data management, biodiversity planning, and forest cover mapping aligned with national and global environmental goals. I have collaborated with esteemed organizations including UNEP, FAO, IUCN, WWF, and GEF, strengthening my capacity to work in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
My academic background in GIS/Remote Sensing (Geomatics) from the University of Peshawar, complemented by professional certifications in GIS and Project Management, has equipped me with both technical proficiency and project execution skills. I am highly skilled in ArcGIS, satellite imagery analysis, and ecological zone mapping tools I’ve used to develop practical solutions for climate-resilient plantations and spatial planning.
