Hubbaish Aftab

I am Hubbaish Aftab,  Chemical Engineer, working in Enar Petroleum Refining Facility in Karachi, Pakistan as Senior HSE Engineer. My core responsibility to Lead HSE Department in Refinery and report to Manager HSE. 

I am also look after Revamp Project of Enar, (Gasoline Revamp Project). In that, I manage construction activity with Contractor and Subcontractors with respect to occupational and construction safety activity. I am reviewing Fire Fighting arrangement, Safe Distancing, safety guidelines, and also involved in Hazop activity. I was involved in Pre-commissioning, commissioning, Pre-startup activity of Thermal Cracking Revamp project. I also manage annual turnaround, manage action in incidents, participate in incident investigation and reporting and has  participate in HAZOP study in Gasoline project.

I am Leading HSE Department in refinery more than 04 years, total experience is more than 10 years. I managed daily routine activities of contractors, sub-contractors and refinery staff, provide trainings, prepare Budgets, SOPs, prepare Fire & Safety equipment specifications, managed procurements, drinking water facility, weekly drills of ERT staff, managed excavation, hot works and critical activity, annual turnaround, review Fire equipment data sheets of new revamp project, informed safe distancing to technical dept., participating as team member in incident investigation, managed outside incident as Emergency Team Leader, Safety Audit of different department in refinery, inspection of safety equipments, daily site survey, HSE walkdown with management, safety orientation of new hired staff, Participation in HAZOP study of new plant and implement HSE management system.

I have completed Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical field in 2012. & completed Fire Prevention & Control course in year 2011. And NEBOSH IGC in 2015. After that i complete my Diploma in HSE from PIM in 2017-18. And got Lead Auditor certification of ISO 14001 in 2022.
