Ambitious, energetic and highly-motivated Satellite Engineer with Master’s degree in MS Computer Engineering (Majors: Telecom) and a Bachelors in Computer Sciences. My current position as Senior Technician with YAHSAT, has a wide remit but the overall focus requires me to lead/work-with engineers through maintaining availability and integrity of satellite systems. Using a range of techniques and testing tools, I can troubleshoot, identify and resolve multifaceted technical problems linked with the satellite and communication systems, apply necessary measures to minimize the satellite system’s downtime and recommend or provide technical support to optimize satellite system performance. I have wide range of experience conducting maintenance checks, managing and installing patches and I have the ability to make recommendations for new system upgrade that will simulating communications systems. Core Responsibilities: Supervise Spacecraft & Gateway stations O&M team in daily operations. Ensuring operational and preventive maintenance procedures are accurately performed. Monitor, control and configure UNIX platform subsystems in Advanced Operations Centre (AOC), Gateway station Operations and Maintenance centre (GSOMC) and Windows-NT platform subsystems including International Satellite Information system (I.S.I.S) and EPOCH in Spacecraft Operations centre (SOC) of the overall network to ensure uninterrupted voice and packet services to Yahsat/Thuraya valuable customers

Key Deliverables in Spacecraft Operations Centre (SOC):

• Responsible for Scheduled Spacecraft maneuvers including Ranging, Station keeping, Momentum dump JDS and Jet Thrusters flushing. Along with various procedures during Eclipse season.
• Monitor, Control and configure various subsystems within SOC and RFT equipment i-e SPCP for payload control, International Satellite Information system and EPOCH for BUS Control, GSC for RFT, and Digital Signal Relay with provided procedures and support respective teams for scheduled and Contingency activities.
• Monitor Various parameters i-e. LRVs- Last recorded values of BUS and Payload. Debug the problematic LRV (LRV exceeding threshold limit) with provided procedures and support.
• Responsible for all SOC workstations, kept detailed logs for all activities and Reports during Eclipse season for maintenance and analysis purposes.
• While in Spacecraft operation center given support to Flight Dynamics subsystem, Orbital Analysis and Payload Engineers.

Key Deliverables in Advance Operations Centre (AOC) and Ground station OMC (GSOMC):

• Problem recovery for all available circuits and major alarms in all gateways following provided procedures. Support        Eng. teams in the installation, commissioning & release upgrade activities. Troubleshooting/rectifying RF modems           in Thuraya’s voice & packet gateways.
• Analyzing the statistics of satellite resources usage & airtime usage records (AURs). Configuring the changes         requested by spectrum management team in required databases on NOC, GS-OMC & packet OMC e.g. changing configuration at L-Band frequency slots (FSs) assigned to a beam, configuring a beam's BCCH & other CCHs at            carrier level of a FS, configuring TOD plans for all beams for whole one year covering all major calendar occasions      after analyzing each beam's resources utilization, traffic volume, success rate, block calls and dropped calls.
• Support the engineering, development and planning teams in investigating and fixing system problems as well   as assisting GS/AOC expansion projects. Good knowledge of Gateway infrastructure and unrivalled hands on          experience for customer support with 100% problem solving.

• Responsible for creating, comparing & installing new databases, as well as reconfiguring, upgrading and     troubleshooting hardware when needed. 
• Provide corrective and preventive maintenance for Ground Infrastructure system including packet and voice services to ensure smooth and flawless operation.
• Document/log all network issues and configuration changes as required by management and actively participated in launch preparations of new satellite. 
• Attending Customer cases to resolve and troubleshoot their problems with the network in timely manner, including          live testing and monitoring. Remote IP testing to check the quality and stability of network especially after activities.
• Copying important AURs, PAURs, Database backups, reports and alarms logs weekly in external hard disk.
• Responsible to attend various official meeting at MS-Teams for testing, monitoring, troubleshooting and training    purposes.
