Gohar Ali

I take this opportunity to introduce myself as Dr. Gohar Ali, a doctoral graduate from Hanyang University. 

I have completed and defended my Ph.D. dissertation titled,

“Nanoscale Hybrid Materials for Synergistic Performance in Photocatalytic Applications” from Hanyang University (ERICA), Ansan, South Korea under the supervision of Prof. Tae Joo Park as a part of Nanodevice Engineering Lab at the Department of Material Science and Chemical Engineering. My Ph.D. research mainly focused on the synthesis, optimization, and characterization such as (XRD, XPS, SEM, TEM, EIS, FTIR, and Raman Spectroscopy) of metal oxides, carbon-based materials such as CNT, reduced graphene oxide, as well as graphitic carbon nitride and their nanocomposites for photocatalytic applications. During my Ph.D., I have been exposed to the techno-scientific research of advanced materials and nanomaterials for areas such as photocatalysis, solar cells, water splitting, thin-film development, and characterization. Additionally, my previous research work mainly focuses on thin film deposition by using atomic layer deposition (ALD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and RF magnetron sputtering techniques for improving the interface/junction quality as well as the efficiency of silicon/organic heterojunction solar cells. Furthermore, I worked in the FUNCTIONAL NANOSTRUCTURED MATERIALS RESEARCH LAB as a Post-doctorate for 10 months working on the synthesis of Carbon-based materials such as Carbon nanotube, reduced graphene oxide, and their nanocomposites for photocatalytic, pressure sensors, and gas sensor applications.

As a result of the research conducted, I have published ten (10) research papers with an accumulative impact factor of 50, out of which five (05) were as 1st authors in reputable international journals.
