I have completed my hands-on experience at Forman Christian College Library (A Chartered University), Lahore. Currently i am working as a librarian at QAL, here i was posted through Punjab public service commission in 2018. For the last three years, being an in-charge of acquisition section, my core duties are to build library collections for the user. I also did so many other tasks like organizing the BSC meetings, literary program, sirat ul nabi conferences, and orientation for users. Moreover, I actively participate in the different Library committees like revision of rules and regulations and service structure. Revisions of membership rules and fees, making a social media platform for promoting library services. Furthermore, i got an appreciation certificate and 2 medals for excellent performance in book acquisition and program organizer from Director General Publich Libraries.

During internship in FC college, I was involved in several digitalization projects, as well as the promotion of various exhibitions to increase public engagement with its archive.  Over the last three years, as a Librarian, I have been part of several projects that enhanced my technical skills (computer skills, video editing, and budgeting, scanning, research methods & data analysis). I am flexible, adaptable, and open to learning. I have worked with many library software (e.g. INSIGNIA, KOHA, LIMS, and VIRTUA software), digital library software (DSPACE), and content management systems (LibGuides). 

Moreover, I can do research and comfortably run quantitative and qualitative software such as SPSS, NVIVO, QDA Miner Lite, Turnitin, & EndNote. I pride myself on my organizational and communication abilities and look forward to continuing my career as a Professional Librarian.

I have done my M.Phil. in information management from University of the Punjab in 2021 under the supervision of Dr.syeda hina batool and dr alia arshad. I am the gold medalist of my session and i am also the gold medalist of my Master session in 2016. 

Research Interests/Areas 

My research interests include cloud services and applications ‘usability, & Digital media literacy skills. Moreover I am interested to investigate information seeking behavior and human-computer interaction.

Research Projects 

My M.Phil. research project was titled " Measuring Usability and User Satisfaction of Cloud Services: A Case of Google Drive". I performed exceptionally well and completed the whole research work well in the given time.

Recently, me and  my other coauthors have presented a research paper titled "Are Public Libraries Promoting Social Justice? A Case of Quaid-e-Azam Library of Pakistan” in Information Science Trends 2022 - The ASIS&T European Chapter Research Series. 17-19 June 2022. Currently I am working on another 4 research projects.
