About FAKHR UL HASSAN:
What we have to learn, we learn by doing. Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make myself do the things I have to do when it is ought to be done. I am deeply concerned with research and can steer my both attitude and aptitude to determine my altitude because a new attitude invariably creates a new result. My overindulgence in research is a legacy from my childhood. My love for research is intense, practical, and balanced, which is why I have to prepare to carry its burden if I want to love it.
I am looking for a postdoctoral or research associate position in Biomedical Engineering, Protein Engineering, Genome Editing of Plants, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry.
Experience
Research interest includes:
- Genetic engineering of bacteriophytochrome photoreceptors (BphPs).
- Application of near-infrared fluorescent proteins (NIR-FPs) as NIR biosensors for heavy metal detection.
- Genome editing of the plants by CRISPR-Cas9.
- Biodegradation of synthetic plastics.
Teaching Experiences:
- Assistant Professor (September 2021 to date). Faculty of Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
- Lecturer (November 2013 to July 2016). Center for Biotechnology and Microbiology, University of Swat KP, Pakistan.

Education
I did my Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science & Technology of Chengdu, China in 2020. I got my M. Phil and BS (Hons) degrees in Microbiology and Biotechnology from Pakistan.
