DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Organize, administer, and coordinate the site supervision of the aspect of the work under control including the efficient deployment of technical staff for reporting.

• Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.

• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

• Ensuring that all materials will be use and work performed are as per specifications, drawings & work in close cooperation with the other specialists, e.g. Material Engineer, to ensure that work is carried out strictly following the Contractual Specifications and Designs criteria.

• To prepare the Work Programme/ Schedule, and S-Curve on Primavera P6.

• Setting out the works per the drawings, and assist the Contractors in the interpretation of Specification and Drawings and the resolution of technical difficulties and to provide such supplementary information as may be required.

• To check and verify the Contractor's design and drawings for temporary Works, Construction work methods, and sequence of operations and to recommend approval by the Engineer/ Client.

• Scrutiny/ checking the Bills/ invoice of sublet contractors, suppliers, or any other vendor.

• To maintain site diaries and records and assist the Higher/ Competent Authority in the preparation of the report.

• To provide advice and information to the Resident Engineer and Quantity Surveyor in matters relating to measurement, valuation, and certification, in researching and reporting in Contractors' claims, and the preparation of Variation Orders.

• To review the Contractors' prepared as-built drawings and to recommend their approval from the Consultant.

• Ensure the safety of the public by regularly checking and monitoring the Contractors staff management arrangements and to promote safe working conditions for all staff and operatives engaged in the project.

• Managing, monitoring, and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.

• Resolving technical issues with the employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities.

• To liaise with the client, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.

• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
