Respected Sir,

                       My name is Duaa Bilal. I am from Pakistan. I am Electrical (Power) Engineer. In engineering, my Final Year Project is Designing of Smart Wheel chair Railing. Now I am doing my Masters in power and energy. I have completed two semesters and 18 out of 24 credit hours of course work. I have done my internship from Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). HIT is Part of Pakistan’s premier Defence Industry which was established in early 70s with an objective of rebuilding the existing tanks. Over the last four decades it has evolved into a large Military Industrial base and currently involved in manufacturing and rebuild of hi-tech equipment like Tanks, APCs, Guns and other security related equipment including security vehicles.

 My final year project is DESIGNING OF SMART WHEELCHAIR RAILING. It consists of Geared Motor, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Electric circuit, Chain and Stand. In this project we make a device which develop an indoor as well as outdoor stair lift. A stair lift is a chair that glides up and down a staircase on a motorized rail. While going up and down the stairs safety is the primary concern, the present-day, top-quality lifts include many features to maximize comfort, ease of use and attractiveness in the home, which is a safe and affordable solution to overcome the unique needs and challenges that people experience on the stairs. Stair lift, the mobile chair-like mobility device attached on one side of stairways, allows to improve access for aged between floors at homes, and to make many people with mobility problems live independently through the internet of things. Hence, we are designing a single rail stair elevator to reduce production costs as well as construction time that is required in case of escalators and elevators. So that’s why I say that I know about the working of motors, how to synchronize the frequency, voltage and speed of it. I know about the designing and troubleshooting of circuits.

During my Masters I worked on Power Converters, Modeling and Simulation, Computer Networking. Now I have to start my thesis. I want to work on renewable resources for the power generation. Oil content of microalgae is usually between 20 percent and 50 percent while some strains can reach as high as 80 percent. So this oil may use for the generation. High yields of hydrogen were produced (∼30 mol H2/kg algae) with near complete gasification of the organics (∼98%). So this hydrogen is also used for generation. This algae is also environment friendly.

During my internship in HIT, I worked on tilt sensor. A tilt sensor is an instrument that is used for measuring the change in tilt and monitoring of inclination and vertical rotation in vertical structures. Tilt sensor produces an electrical signal which is proportional to the degree of tilt in multiple axes (Uniaxial & Biaxial). The tilts sensor works on the Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology to provide a digital output. So, I know the working of Arduino, atmega, transistors and amplifiers.
