  • Dow University of Health Sciences (Full-time Consultant Cardiac Surgeon)                 Jan 2016-Present

 

o   Lead and independently perform a variety of cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, Valve replacements, ASD closures, myocardial bridge unroofing myotomies, pericardial procedures, mediastinal re-explorations, beating heart surgeries (OPCAB), Double valve replacements, and redo surgeries.

 

o   Communicate with patients, cardiologists, and other medical professionals to create a

treatment plan that includes preoperative preparations, surgical protocols, and postoperative care.

 

o   Prepare reports and other forms of documentation to keep patient charts updated around the clock during pre- and post-surgical hospital stays.

 

o   Routine clinical rounds, regular teaching of medical students and postgraduate trainees,

research, scheduled lectures, journal clubs, morbidity and mortality meetings, clinicopathological conferences, heart-team meetings, and workshops.

 

  • Memon Medical Institute (Part-time Consultant Cardiothoracic surgeon)             July  2017 to Current

 

o   Independently perform Cardiac as well as Thoracic surgical procedures which include CABG, valve replacements, ASD closures, pericardial procedures, mediastinal re-explorations, beating heart surgeries (OPCAB), thoracotomies, decortications, wedge resections, manage patients with thoracic trauma, empyema thoracis, hemothorax, tension pneumothorax, rib resections and VATS.
