o Lead and independently perform a variety of cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, Valve replacements, ASD closures, myocardial bridge unroofing myotomies, pericardial procedures, mediastinal re-explorations, beating heart surgeries (OPCAB), Double valve replacements, and redo surgeries.
o Communicate with patients, cardiologists, and other medical professionals to create a treatment plan that includes preoperative preparations, surgical protocols, and postoperative care.
o Prepare reports and other forms of documentation to keep patient charts updated around the clock during pre- and post-surgical hospital stays.
o Routine clinical rounds, regular teaching of medical students and postgraduate trainees, research, scheduled lectures, journal clubs, morbidity and mortality meetings, clinicopathological conferences, heart-team meetings, and workshops.
