I have ten years experience in stroke patients at Aziz Fatimah hospital. I have worked in ICU, CCU Wards and OPD. I have Physiotherapy experience as a home care for stroke patients.

Helper

As a physiotherapy assistant I can help patients perform basic physical examination and treatment preparation tasks that they might have difficulty completing. For example, help lift or slide a patient into position on a table, also help a patient to undress or remove supportive devices, like braces or slings, to apply therapeutic treatment techniques, such as aquatic, sound, light, electrical stimulation, heat, cold or massage therapies. After treatment, help a patient to redress and put the supportive devices back on.

Trainer

I am working to educate and train patients by explaining how to change behaviors and home or work routines that exacerbate a condition; or how to use exercise or assistive devices to reduce pain, strengthen the body and improve coordination. To design a customized patient treatment plan. Demonstrates exercises from the plan and monitors the patient’s on-site workout. Additionally, she teaches the patient, and his family or caregiver, how to incorporate exercises or other therapy into his daily routine.

Motivator

Although pain or mobility issues can motivate a person to pursue physical therapy, they can also undermine his motivation once he starts and make it difficult for him to stick with it. Acts as the patient’s personal cheerleader. Uses sensitivity and kindness to establish trust and then encourages a patient to continue treatment even when the plan might include initial discomfort and repetition. Continues to motivate by expressing enthusiasm and pride whenever the patient improves and offering support when the patient suffers setbacks.

Knowledge and understanding

Able to support with clinical and administrative procedures in predictable and straightforward contexts drawing on basic knowledge and facts relevant to physiotherapy and own practice area.

I have basic knowledge of the political, social and economic factors that inform your own practice area. I have a basic knowledge of public health and the social determinants of health and wellbeing.
