Afifa Naeem

Being a graduate in Master of Education and with 5 years of teaching experience in bag, I have this confidence in my skills and qualification that I am a good candidate for a teaching position anywhere. My 2years of Master program not only taught me how to be a good facilitator, but it also reshaped my philosophy of teaching in the light of traditional and modern teaching philosophies. Whatever I learnt during my masters program, I got to practice in my classroom setting which further reinforced my learning. I am a multitasker with the passion of teaching and believe in continuous learning with my students as I consider it a two-way road.

I am currently taking Year 2 in my organisation. Apart from that, I have also occupied the role of a Subject Lead. My role as a subject lead includes teacher training, working on PD, successful implementation of the prescribed curriculum and organising workshops and teacher training programs as per teacher need-based analysis.

I am a 120 Hours TEFL Certified Instructor with an overall bank score of 8.0 in IELTS.

For the past 5 years, I have been serving as a Lower Primary Teacher in an Early Years Branch of Beaconhouse School Systems and working remotely as an ESL Teacher for students in China, Australia and UAE.

I've also taken on the role of a Lower Primary Subject Lead. This means I've been involved in teacher training, Professional Development programs, successful implementation prescribed curriculum, and organizing workshops and training programs based on teachers' need-based analysis. I believe in continuous professional development to stay current and effective in the ever-evolving field of education. Over the years, I've attended training programs in Developing Reflective Practitioners, Differentiated Instructions and Purposeful use of technology and I've found these experiences to be invaluable in expanding my teaching toolkit. Additionally, I've had the privilege of leading teacher training sessions and workshops, sharing the knowledge and insights I've gained with my colleagues. I'm a strong advocate for ongoing learning, and I'm committed to staying up-to-date with the latest educational practices to provide the best possible education for my students.

Beyond academics, I've been actively involved in planning and organizing a School Improvement Plan for my branch, serving on the school's Leadership Team for two years. I've contributed to innovative programs that benefit both students and teachers, creating a positive school environment. In addition to my qualifications and experience, recently I have achieved a high IELTS score of 8.0 which demonstrates my proficiency in English and my ability to effectively communicate and teach in an English-speaking environment.

I bring a strong educational background and a deep enthusiasm for creating diverse and engaging learning experiences. I hold a Master's degree in Art Education from Beaconhouse National University, which has shaped my passion for modern education. During my two-year program, I learned not only how to be a good teacher but also how to blend traditional and modern teaching methods to best serve students. 

My research focused on Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning in 21st Century Education, allowing me to explore modern curriculums and teaching philosophies. In the last five years, I've honed my teaching skills in various settings, working with students of different backgrounds and ages. I'm particularly experienced in differentiated instruction, which means I adapt my teaching to each student's unique needs and learning styles, giving them more say in their learning.
